Product Details
This book explores the Jewish origins of several important Christian feasts. It shows how food, joy, memory, mystery and other experiences of ordinary life are foundational for Jewish and Christian celebrations. Let Us Rejoice contributes to the growing mutual understanding between Christians and Jews. It will be of interest to general readers, classroom religion teachers, catechists and those who wish to understand the foundations of Christian festivals as they are found in the experience of Jews and Judaism. Dr Marianne Dacy is a Sister of Our Lady of Sion. She runs the Archive of Australian Judaica at Sydney University.
